This international project was filmed in Civita di Bagnoregio, Italy. I collaborated closely with the director from the early development stage. Although filming outside the U.S. presented logistical challenges, we successfully transported key resources from New York City to Italy. The project is currently in post-production.

This journey has been challenging. We committed to creating the first visuals and focused on developing an honest story. That process led to a second version of the pitch bible, which helped us get selected for the Animation Pitching Sessions at Ventana Sur. In December 2024, we won the MIFA award, which will allow us to pitch at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2025.

This was my first project in NYC. During the development stage, we conducted in-depth research to understand the challenges and realities of immigrants in the city, aiming to create a more honest script. We interviewed more than eight Latino immigrants.

This project has been part of the Women’s Mentorship Program at the Ventana Sur Market in Argentina, and we pitched it at the Quirino Awards in Spain.

After five years, we received a grant from the Peruvian Ministry of Culture to complete post-production on this project. From shooting inside a submarine to traveling across several countries, this project has been an incredible journey.

In 2022, we were one of six projects selected for StoriesxWomen, a program sponsored by FIAPF and Disney Studios, which allowed us to travel to the Annecy Film Festival in France to pitch the project.
